Deep Conditioning for 30 minutes
It is winter time and my hair gets crazy dry in this bitter cold, so I need to do a deep conditioning once a month to bring moisture back to my lifeless dry brittle curls.
I found a effective DIY (Do it yourself) using Canned coconut cream, a whole avocado and avocado oil. I did this last month for the first time and honestly my hair never felt softer and my curls were on point.
DIY Deep Conditioning Steps & Benefits
Step 1
Depending on your hair length I used the whole can of coconut cream (Dump into the blender). Just like how coconut milk provides moisture and nourishment to the skin, it works similarly on the hair too. Coconut milk, when used regularly on dry and damaged hair, helps to restore its shine. It also helps to soothe and treat itchiness and dandruff on the scalp.
Step 2
Add a whole ripe avocado (Remove the Seed). Avocados contains vitamins A, B6, D, and E, and minerals like copper and iron which help it nourish your hair and scalp. This also helps promote healthy hair growth. Avocado has a high content of antioxidants like vitamin E which helps prevent hair damage from free radicals. This helps keep your hair healthy for longer.
Step 3
Add two capsules of Avocado oil or any oil you prefer to use for your hair. I like to add a lot oil because my hair gets really dry in the winter. Avocado oil helps rejuvenate and moisturize the scalp. A rich source of proteins, amino acids and vitamins, avocado helps soothe the scalp and promotes long, strong curls.
Step 4
Wrap your hair with a plastic bag, or seran wrap. Leave in for 20 to 30 minutes, shampoo and condition as usual.
